Trump Offered 50 Cent $1 Million to Support him During Election

Updated: Nov 21, 2020

50 also confident Trump's Administration bought Lil Wayne's support during the presidential election campaign.

The rapper made the comments whilst discussing Trump and the recent presidential election during a recent interview on New York radio show The Breakfast Club.

He was originally offered $500,000 dollars to perform at Trump's inauguration if he was awarded a second term in office. Whilst taking time to consider the offer 50, real name Curtis Jackson, was presented with another proposition of $1 Million (£755,000) which he turned down.

When asked why he passed on the lucrative offer, 50 explained he knew that Trump was merely trying to manipulate Americas African-American citizens into voting for him ""He participated with different artists and s**t like that for the black vote... And I'm going, 'Nah, I ain't gone put myself in that position,' 'cause I didn't know what I was got to do to recover from it, right? To be honest with you (sic)".

The New York based artist seemed to think however that fellow rapper Lil Wayne didn't mind being involved in Trump's ploy as long as he was paid handsomely. Wayne hit headlines in late October when he posted a photo of himself meeting the Republican leader online backing the president and his criminal justice reform, a decision for which he was heavily criticised.

When radio co-host Charlamagne tha God asked if Lil Wayne would have been paid for his public display of support, 50 replied, "Oh yeah, I'm sure. Easily. He got paid.".

Being called out for supporting Trump is the least of Lil Wayne's worries however, after the rapper was recently charged with possession of a firearm and is facing up to ten years in prison.
